Obviously, the main goals of any investor are to increase capital and then preserve that capital. The most important part of my job in helping you achieve those goals is to use my skills to tailor specific strategies and approaches so that they are appropriate for you. Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. I work with clients from all trading backgrounds and levels of experience. The first thing I do with any new client is determine what my role will be. If you need day-to-day help, I will provide that. If you are the type of client who strictly needs extra research or assistance with execution, I am here for that as well. Ultimately, one of my objectives is to help you increase equity in your account by increasing your knowledge of the commodity markets. The bottom line is that I will attempt to fulfill your trading needs.
Analysis Preference:
I apply a fundamental and technical analysis of the markets with an eye toward identifying potential opportunities for which suitable trade recommendations may then be developed on an individual risk-level basis. While I usually stick to the technicals, I know not to ignore the fundamentals in any market. Generally, I will take the fundamentals into consideration to determine if there are any major factors that may potentially drive a market. Then, I will utilize technical analysis to determine entry and exit points that I would recommend for your specific level of risk.
Technical Study Background:
Candlesticks, Moving Averages, MACD, Relative Strength Index, Volume, and Parabolics.
Advisory Background:
Helms Research, The Hightower Report, The Daily Hightower Report, Jake Bernstein’s Weekly Commentary, The Kespert Trend Spotter.
Trading Strategies:
Generally I look for trending markets, using key support and resistance levels for entry and exit. Generally I base my trades on a risk to reward profile where I am risking $1 to make $3. I am always attempting to identify breakouts, and lastly, I utilize option strategies for hedging of positions when necessary and if appropriate for a particular client.
