Howard Malman, President

 

Howard is a veteran floor trader registered with the NFA and principal of Olympus Futures, Inc.  He began his futures career in 1979 as a runner. Three years later he started trading agricultural futures in the grain room of the Chicago Board of Trade.  He went on to trade the S&P 500 stock index futures in 1985 and held a significant presence in the pit.  He was nominated by the Board of Governors in 1999 and served as Vice Chairman of the S&P 500 pit.  Author Art Collins has written about Howard in his book "When Super Traders Meet Kryptonite".  He was a founding principal of Carlin Futures LLC formed in June of 2000.  Howard has gone on to develop a methodology that has succeeded over a wide array of trading landscapes.

 

Jack Callahan, Managing Member

Jack is responsible for selecting the Fund’s investments and managing the Fund’s activities.   Mr. Callahan has been registered as a floor broker since January 1982 with trading privileges at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He was also listed a Principal of C&D Commodities, a registered FCM, from December 1982 through July 1991, where his duties included running the firm’s trading floor operations, acting as an executing broker, and managing the firm’s business. He also was registered as a sole proprietor CTA, John T. Callahan, from January 1997 through April 1999. He was also listed a Principal of Reef Runner Ltd., a registered CTA, from August 1997 through November 1998, where his duties included management of the business. In July 1991, he joined Rosenthal Collins Group LLC, a registered FCM, where he now operates C&B Trading and Peak Trading Group, two divisions of Rosenthal Collins Group LLC. In April 2008 C&B Trading LLC became a registered IB, where Mr. Callahan has been listed as a Principal since March 2008. Mr. Callahan also became listed as a Principal of Emerald Strategies, LLC, a registered CTA and CPO, in July 2003 and was registered and withdrawn as an AP of Emerald in July 2003. He is also currently registered as an Associated Person with Olympus Futures Inc., a registered Introducing Broker, since February 2007. He was approved as a Principal of Peak Trading Group LLC in September 2007.   

 

Michelle Bodenshok, COO

Michelle brings 25+ years of financial management and trading experience to the firm.  She started her career in the back office of a major clearing firm in the futures and stock industry in 1979 and has been registered with the NFA since 1985.  While on the trading floor she started working arbitrage in the Japanese Yen Pit and quickly moved on to the Euro Dollar pit.  Michelle became a member of the CBOT in 1997 where she traded Dow Futures and Options during which time she was a senior instructor at University of Trading teaching instruction in commodity futures trading (trading pits). Two German magazines have published articles about her trading experiences.  Michelle has several years experience in operations and sales.  Most recently she was the branch manager of Peak Trading Group of Rosenthal Collins Group, LLC.

 

Josh Russo, VP Alternative Investments
Josh started his financial career working in the Securities Industry as an analyst for The Advantage Financial Group in 2003. After graduating from the University of Iowa, he made the jump to commodity futures, relocating from Iowa to Chicago. He began working in the Futures & Options side with Lind Waldock/Refco Private Client Group division in 2004, which was shortly thereafter purchased by MF Global. As a Senior Broker for Lind-Waldock, his responsibilities included opening new accounts, raising equity and maintaining client relations.  After a successful tenure with Lind-Waldock, Josh became a partner with Peak Trading Group & Olympus Futures in 2007.  As the Vice President of Alternative Investments, his responsibilities include asset allocation and commodities trading. With Olympus, he trades Futures & Options for preferred clients. Josh’s area of specialty is in alternative investments, including Managed Futures, Commodity Pools, and Multi-Manager Commodity Funds. He will allocate client & firm equity to established and emerging Commodity Trading Advisors. 
 
Charles Nedoss, Senior Account Manager

Charles is a registered representative of Olympus Futures.  He contributes market comments to Dow Jones News Service, Bloomberg News, and frequently appears on Bloomberg T.V. and Radio as well as CNBC and Fox Business Channel.  Charles has been featured on CNNFN, and is a biweekly guest on First Business a nationally and internationally syndicated business program. His market comments can also be seen often at Markwatch.Com.  Charles` prior experience in the futures industry includes: assisting Chinese government traders hedging grains, as well as speculative trading in currencies, metals and stock indices and has managed trading desks both off and on the trading floor. Charles` approach to futures trading is simple: "have clear cut trading objectives before you trade and know your risk". He feels many novice traders overlook this basic adage.

 

James Sramek, VP Business Development
James Sramek has been with Olympus futures since 2007.  His main focus was on the retail trader and the technology in this industry that could possible benefit their trading. Shortly after becoming a Senior Broker for Olympus, the trading team was formed. James’s knowledge of the technology trends and key relationships throughout the industry has become an essential part of what he brings to Olympus today. James is currently the Vice President of Business Development helping to provide the resources and tools to our retail clients. Prior to joining Olympus, James was in the long term investment sector.

Thea Law, Senior Broker
Thea has been a licensed Series 3 Commodity Broker since December 2006.  Thea started her career in 1980 as a runner and phone clerk at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).  She moved over to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in 1984 where she performed several duties related to the trading floor activities.  She left the trading floor in July 2008 after the CME purchased the CBOT to concentrate on investment opportunities in Managed Futures.
